Jesus and Me (JAM) Mission Statement

The Lighthouse Christian Church children’s ministry exists in order to prepare our youth to grow in the knowledge, and teachings of God and to share God’s word through their lives. Jesus and Me (JAM) is for children ages 6-11.

 

To accomplish these goals we seek to:

 

1. Teach them God’s word so that they can learn to think and act the way God desires us to.

2. Encourage Godly habits & routines for everyday life.

3. Teach them proper respect for adults and each other.

4. Create a community of believers in Jesus Christ.

5. Show the children how to live a Christian lifestyle in all areas of their lives, at home, at school, at church and in the community.

6. Encourage the children to talk to God in all things and trust him.

7. Create a trusting, safe environment where children are free to share experiences, thoughts and ideas.

8. Utilize a variety of resources including lessons, games, crafts, videos etc. in order to bring God’s word to life.

9. Introduce and involve the children in various ways that they can serve others.
